  • To the uninformed, when Ted Kennedy passed away and Scott Brown was elected in his place, the majority Democrat senate lost its majority vote override of filibusters.   • There was no disenchantment on the West Coast; Republicans got one seat, but gave up another, for a zero sum game in the House. Northeastern coastal states also showed a lack of embracing of Tea Party rhetoric. The rhetorical wishy-washy middle is located...in the middle of the nation.

  • His fear of putting it in neutral is just a big fat lie. Anyone that has driven any car knows that neutral disengages the engine from the drive. I know he knows that too, but he was trying to make it an especially memorable spectacle so that the media would latch onto it.

  • Certain forms of media love to report breaking news without first examining the facts. Whether it was the balloon boy or the Prius, catching the 'news as it's happening' is more important than getting the story right.

  • Florida ranks #1 in offense and defense, while LSU ranks 40th in defense and 99th in offense. I think it won't matter if Tebow is playing or not; LSU will have difficulty containing Florida's running game while at the same time, will be unable to muster up a whole lot on offense.

  • Good question; here's another. How many losses does Oklahoma need to have, before it gets tossed from the top 25? Apparently more than 2. Unlike Oklahoma, Houston lost one game, and they're out of the top 25, now ranked below the Oklahoma State Cowboys they previously beat.

  • The biggest margin of loss under Pete Carroll was in 2001 against Notre Dame: 11 points. That marks the ONLY time ever under Pete Carroll, that USC has lost by double digits, including all bowl games.

  • The only reason why there are openings in the defensive secondary, is because Carroll is predominantly sticking with zone defense. The question is, does the opposing team have enough power up front to be able to give the QB enough time to find the holes? The answer is generally, no.
